August 2026 Office & Registry Update Important August 2026 Office & Registry Update The Hawaiʻi Department of Health (DOH) will be launching a new Medical Cannabis Patient Registry on August 12, 2026 . This new system is designed to improve the patient registry experience and will require all patients to transition to the new website. As with any major system upgrade, we anticipate there may be a learning curve for both patients and providers. Our team has been preparing for this transition so we're ready to assist our patients once the new registry becomes available. To allow time for staff training and preparation: Our administrative office will be closed August 2 through August 12. Patient appointments will be unavailable August 2 through August 14. Appointments will resume on Saturday, August 15. Although our administrative office will be closed, we will continue monitoring voicemail and email messages throughout this period. Please allow 24–48 hours for a response as we work through the transition. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and truly appreciate your patience and understanding. Our goal is to be fully prepared so we can provide the best possible support to our patients during this transition. What Should I Do Right Now? At this time, no action is required. Your current 329 card will remain valid through August 12, 2026 , and there is nothing patients need to do until the new Department of Health registry launches. Once the new registry becomes available, the Department of Health will provide instructions for accessing the new system. We will also update this page with the latest information and guidance as it becomes available. Please note that new 329 cards cannot be issued until after the new registry launches on August 12. Department of Health Registry Transition The current Department of Health patient registry website will be in a temporary transition period from Friday, August 7 through Wednesday, August 12, 2026 , while the new registry is being implemented. During this time: Patients may still log in to the current registry to download their existing 329 card. New applications, renewal applications, and updates to existing registrations cannot be submitted. Licensed dispensaries will remain open, and patients with a valid 329 registration may continue purchasing their medicine. What Happens After August 12? Beginning August 12, 2026 , patients who access their 329 card online will need to sign in to the new Department of Health Patient Registry to download their newly issued 329 card. Patients who normally receive their 329 card by mail from the Department of Health will automatically receive a newly issued card shortly after the new registry launches. The Department of Health has indicated that additional instructions and user guides will be released before the launch.
