Renewing Your Hawaii 329 Card? Here’s How to Use the New Registry
Hawaii’s new 329 Registry has changed the renewal process. Here’s a friendly guide to selecting Patient Renewal, verifying your e-certification, uploading your ID and completing your Hawaii 329 renewal.
Renewing Your Hawaii 329 Card? Here’s How to Use the New Registry Hawaii’s new 329 Registry is here, and the renewal process looks a little different than it did before. If you’re a returning 329 patient, the biggest thing to know is that you’ll now complete your renewal through the new online registry using your e-certification number . We know a brand-new state system can feel confusing the first time through, so Greener Healing Ways created a simple step-by-step renewal guide to walk you through it. Start With the Right Application One of the most important things for returning patients is choosing Patient Renewal rather than New Patient Registration. After logging into the Hawaii 329 Registry through the SSO/myHawaii screen, choose Apply, Update or Renew , select Patient , and then choose Patient Renewal . Your existing 10-digit license number should already be available in a dropdown for you to select. From there, you’ll review your information and continue through the renewal application. Your E-Certification Number The new registry uses an e-certification number from your provider. When you reach the certification section of the application, enter your e-cert number and click Verify Certification Number . Once the system confirms it and shows green/Yes, you can continue. This is an important part of the new process because your certification term is connected to the e-certification issued by your provider. A Few Spots That Are Easy to Miss There are a couple of places in the new registry that may not be obvious the first time through. The grow-site selection and grow-site attestations are separate sections . You can select No Grow Site if you are not registering one, but you still need to carefully read the attestations that appear in the application. There is also a Save Record button inside the grow-site section that can be easy to overlook. Make sure that section is saved before continuing. When you reach the document upload section, the registry is asking for a valid government-issued photo ID , such as a driver’s license, state ID or passport. Your previous 329 card is not the identification document being requested. Hawaii 329 Renewal Fees The State of Hawaii application fee is separate from any provider appointment fee. A 1-year application is $38.50 , while a 3-year application is $115.50 . Before submitting payment, take a moment to review the application. If the registry shows a red X next to any section, go back and correct that item before submitting. About the New 3-Year Renewal Option Eligible returning patients now have the option of a 3-year certification. For Greener Healing Ways patients, the 3-year renewal option is available to patients who have previously had a 329 appointment with Paola Abaro . The provider must also issue the e-certification specifically for the 3-year term . A patient cannot turn a 1-year certification into a 3-year certification simply by selecting a different payment option in the State application. Our Step-by-Step Renewal Guide This is where I would place your big renewal instruction graphic. I would actually put it right here , after the reader understands the basics. Then the image becomes the easy “follow along” portion of the article instead of making the entire blog feel like one long instruction manual. Under the image, I’d add: Save this guide while you complete your application. It walks you through the renewal process from logging in through submitting your State payment. Need a Hand? New systems always take a little getting used to. If you run into a question while working through your renewal, Greener Healing Ways is happy to help.
