Aloha, I’m Amber Jensen, owner of Greener Healing Ways.

After spending nearly a decade working alongside Dr. James Berg, I feel incredibly grateful to carry forward the practice he and his wife, DeeAnne, built with so much heart and compassion.

As someone who was raised here on the Big Island and Kauai, I understand the challenges many of our patients face — whether it’s limited access to healthcare, difficulty with technology, or just trying to manage everything life brings.
My goal is simply to help make things a little easier — to provide guidance, encouragement, and care that always feels personal.

🌸 Meet Our Provider — Dr. Paola Abaro, DNP, APRN-Rx, FNP-BC

Dr. Paola Abaro is a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner with over ten years of experience in healthcare, from long-term care to advanced clinical practice across Hawaiʻi.
She earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from the University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo, where her research focused on mindfulness, stress management, and provider-patient communication.

Bilingual in English and Tagalog, Dr. Abaro is known for her calm, caring approach and her ability to connect with patients from all walks of life. She listens carefully, explains clearly, and ensures every patient feels comfortable and respected.

Dr. Abaro provides compassionate telehealth certification appointments by phone — no video required — making care accessible for patients across all islands.
